Day 1: Depart Canada
Fly to Rome with Air Canada.
Day 2: Welcome to Rome
Upon arrival in Rome, meet your tour leader and transfer to your hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the day immersing yourself in everything Rome has to offer.
Day 3: Rome
After your first Italian breakfast, meet your local guide and dive into the highlights of ancient Rome. Visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, and marvel at Michelangelo’s The Last Judgment and The Creation of Adam. Swing by St. Peter’s Square and the Basilica, and later admire the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Day 4: Rome – Pompeii – Sorrento (280 km)
This morning, after a stop at a cameo factory, you will visit Pompeii, where your local guide will take you through this ancient Roman city, perfectly preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Continue to Sorrento.

Day 5: Sorrento – Capri – Sorrento (50 km)
After breakfast, transfer to the harbour and cross to Capri, famous since Roman times and a favourite vacation spot. Arrive at the port of Marina Grande and take the funicular railway up to La Piazzetta. Enjoy free time on the island, then return to Sorrento for a limoncello tasting, the liqueur made from fragrant lemons of the Sorrentine Peninsula.

Day 6: Sorrento – Naples – Overnight Ferry to Palermo (50 km + ferry)
After breakfast, head to the port of Naples where you will board an overnight ferry to Palermo, Sicily. Enjoy dinner on board the ferry.

Day 7: Ferry – Palermo – Monreale – Agrigento (150 km)
Arrive in Palermo and enjoy a Sicilian breakfast, then go on a panoramic tour of the city. Next, head to Monreale, where you can see the Moorish-Norman Dome. Continue to Agrigento for the night.

Day 8: Agrigento – Giardini Naxos (265 km)
After breakfast, discover the Valley of Temples, the world’s largest archaeological park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, visit a local farm and taste delicious Sicilian products. Proceed to Taormina, where you will enjoy free time for shopping or a leisurely stroll. Overnight in the Giardini Naxos area.

Day 9: Giardini Naxos – Syracuse – Giardini Naxos (175 km)
Today, journey to Syracuse for a guided visit of the archaeological park including highlights such as the Roman Amphitheatre, the Neapolis Greek Theatre and the Ear of Dionysius, an ear-shaped grotto. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 10: Giardini Naxos – Mount Etna – Rome (60 km)
After breakfast, depart for an excursion to the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. Marvel at the mesmerizing views. Next, enjoy a special farewell lunch of local delicacies. Continue to the Catania airport for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, transfer to your airport hotel.

Day 11: Rome – Montréal
Transfer to the Rome airport and board your flight with Air Canada.
