Prague at Your Own Pace

Explore at your own pace all of the attractions of the picture-postcard city of Prague, while spending seven full days exploring its various districts, including Stare Mesto (the Old Town) and Nove Mesto (the New Town). Enjoy as well two half-day organized excursions, which will give you full view of the city.

It is difficult to describe in so few lines how beautiful the city of Prague is. We could speak of a city full of charm and mystery with a fairy-tale side.

Its castle, proud and majestic on its hill that dominates the city, was the seat of political and religious power since the 9th century. It is the most beautiful in the country. Its numerous rooms and its church, Saint Vitus, will transport you to medieval times.

We tour Prague on foot. We wander through the narrow streets, scattered with 19th-century frescoes. We settle in a café while listening to the original chime of the astronomical clock in the Old Town square. The Charles Bridge that links the two river banks is also not to be missed.

On the cultural side, Prague has nothing to envy over other European capitals. One can just cite the numerous art galleries, theatres offering classical music performances, museums, and especially the Prague Spring International Music Festival in May.

Day 1: Montréal to Prague

Days 2 – 8: Arrival in Prague (Breakfast)
Transfer to your hotel for your 7-night stay.

Day 3: Tour of the Stare Mesto district
During a guided half-day walking tour, explore Prague’s Old Town, whose entrance is marked by the town hall and the tower. Walk through the streets and alleys, and admire renowned places such as the Royal Way, Church of Our Lady before Týn, and the Old Town square, with its town hall and its famous astronomical clock.

Day 4: Tour of Hradčany district
Leave with your guide for a half-day walking tour of Hradčany, the area of Prague Castle, which overlooks the whole city. You will see the three courtyards, the cathedral of Saint Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, Saint George’s Basilica, as well as the Golden Lane.

Dday 9: Prague to Montréal (Breakfast)
Transfer to the airport in preparation for your return flight.

Charles Bridge: it’s impossible to not take this magnificent footbridge, where artisans, jewelry makers, painters and musicians accompany your passage from the New Town to the Old Town.

Astronomical Clock: every hour, the crowd converges toward the Old Town square to watch the parade of symbolic figures of this treasure of Prague, in operation for more than 600 years.

Grand Café Slavia: this celebrated café, located across from the National Theatre, was the den of intellectuals and artists since its opening in 1886. Its bay windows offer a spectacular view of Prague.
