This tour has a moderate pace that will show you the charms of Belgium and Switzerland, descending by the wine route of Alsace and finishing in Paris via the beautiful regions of Champagne and Burgundy. Two- and three-night stays in Brussels, Colmar, Strasbourg, and Paris will facilitate travel during this trip.
You will also fall under the spell of Colmar and Lucerne, which you will visit on foot. Tastings during the trip include a visit to the famous Timmermans Brewery, which celebrates 316 years of existence this year!

Day 1: Montreal to Brussels
Direct flight to Brussels.
Day 2: Brussels – Leuven – Brussels (55 km)
You’ll be greeted by your guide upon arrival and transferred to Leuven, famous university town and beer capital. During your walking tour, you will see the splendid city hall and the Grand Béguinage. Arrival in Brussels and welcome dinner.

Day 3: Brussels
Set off on a city tour: you will see the Parc du Cinquantenaire, the European Quarter, the Atomium and the Royal Palace. Continue on foot to the historic centre and the Grand-Place. Lunch at your leisure. Then visit the Brewery Timmermans, which is over 300 years old, and enjoy a tasting.

Day 4: Brussels – Ghent – Bruges – Brussels (210 km)
Travel to Ghent for a stroll along the Quai aux Herbes and through the Old Town Next fall for the charms of Bruges also known as the Venice of the North. After a walking tour of the city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, admire this romantic, well-preserved town as you glide in a boat along the canals.

Day 5: Brussels – Dinant – Luxembourg (260 km)
Departure for Denée and guided tour of the Benedictine monastery Maredsous Abbey, followed by a beer tasting with cheeses produced at the monastery. Stop in Dinant, famous for its citadel. Time at leisure to lunch and stroll along the Meuse. Continue to Luxembourg and enjoy a guided tour of the Old Town. Dinner at hotel.

Day 6: Luxembourg – Nancy – Colmar (260 km)
Head to Nancy to admire the magnificent Place Stanislas. Then travel across the Vosges Mountains via the Col du Bonhomme pass until you reach Lapoutroie, where you will enjoy a visit and a tasting at the Musée des Eaux de Vie. Next, it’s off to Colmar, the Alsatian wine capital.

Day 7: Colmar & the Alsace Wine Route (30 km)
You’ll begin your day with a walking tour of the Old Town of Colmar and of its “Little Venice” district. Then discover the Wine Route and its series of typically Alsatian villages. Visit Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé, where you will enjoy a visit and tasting at a family winery.

Day 8: Colmar – Basel – Lucerne – Colmar (330 km)
Depart for Switzerland and tour of Basel and its medieval city centre, cathedral and market square. Then travel to Lucerne, where you will enjoy lunch at your leisure before embarking on a guided tour of the Old Town. After a stroll along Lake Lucerne, return to France.

Day 9: Colmar – Haut-Kœnigsbourg – Obernai – Strasbourg (85 km)
In the morning, visit the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle in Orschwiller, a medieval fortress perched 800 m above the plains. Next, you will discover Obernai, with its picturesque market square. Continue to Strasbourg and explore the Old Town, nicknamed Little France, with its beautiful halftimbered houses.

Day 11: Strasbourg – Reims – Paris (490 km)
Depart for the region of Champagne. Arrive in Reims, a city of art and history and the site of 24 royal coronations. Enjoy a wine tasting at a world-renowned champagne cellar. Arrive in Paris.

A city tour, including a Seine river cruise, will allow you to see the City of Light’s most beautiful sights. The afternoon is at leisure to stroll around. Farewell dinner with music on the butte of Montmartre.
